Nightlife in Patong Beach

There is never a dull moment in Patong Beach and especially at night. Unlike other places it comes alive. There is something for every one including families.

In the past, I brought visitors to Patong and they expected a red light district. It was indeed a red light district and my male guests and customers loved it. Nowadays it is more friendly to families and ladies. Enjoy the night life in a spirit of fun. I let my hair down and enjoyed myself too with the tourists who visited Patong.

After a few drinks, everyone is ready to have a good time.

You will be spoilt for choice as to places to go for the local nightlife. Visit the gogo bars, nightclubs, watch strip tease shows and be surprised by the experience of seeing 'unusual' nightclub acts. For the price of a ticket, you are given a free drink and you will be entertained as nowhere else in the world. Drinks often flow freely and tips are generously given. Everybody has a great time, clean harmless fun. After all it is basically show-business.

The transvestite shows especially were and still are a hit with visitors. At elaborate cabaret shows, expect a classy performance, song, comedy dance routines and beautiful, well endowed "ladies" :) Honestly,some of them are even prettier than me. But hey, don't judge me. I don't wear such heavy make-up.

Of course they don't sing as well as the original singers and more often than not they just mime the lyrics but expect great dance moves. Some establishments allow photographic opportunities. Dressed in their elaborate costumes, it is a spectacle for first-timers.

Gogo bars are well patronized. Young beautiful girls from all over the kingdom entertain you with sexy dance routines which would make young males blush. Scantily dressed, they sure know how to make sure the patrons have a good time. Legally nudity is forbidden but .......

If gogo bars are not your scene, visit Patong Discos, Night Clubs and Dance Clubs. With pulsating music and a throbbing beat and experienced DJs you can't help but move with the beat. Expect elaborately decorated dance halls and energy which will make you feel ALIVE.

A definite must visit are the Thai Boxing matches or Muay Thai. The scene is almost primal. Thai boxing is different from western boxing as the shins and elbows are used extensively to hurt the opponent. It is a very exciting scene. The accompanying traditional music makes it doubly exciting. This will be one of the most unforgettable experiences of your visit.

  • Go-Go Bars - Playschool, Showgirls, Lolita and The Heights.

  • Beer Bars or (Bar Beers!) - expect to be well entertained by girls ever ready to please the orn and weary visitor.- The Point, Sharky Bar and Black Cat.
  • Music Pubs - Rock City, Saxophone, Molly Malone Upscale Bars/Cocktail Lounges- Club Rio, The Patong Bay Garden Resort.
  • Cabarets & Transvestite Shows - Simon Cabaret, Sphinx, My Way Cabaret and Moulin Rose.
